Quietly making loud music

Leaving Ohio

The record seems to be about a man whose mate has drowned in the Ohio River.  The man retreats to his creepy house in the woods, plants weeds in his driveway to make it disappear, hides hooch under the statues in his lawn, and contemplates what he’s going to do next while going slightly off the rails in reaction to loneliness, regret and wormwood concoctions.  The songs are simple, uncluttered, and kinda good.  It is a massive stylistic departure from i belong to me.

If an unexamined life is not worth living…, then what does it mean when the only person who much cares about examining your life is gone?

No instruments that need electricity allowed – but a few snuck in anyway.  Simplicity and sparseness are king.

You can pay what you want (or pay nothing at all) and get the record HERE.

Or you can BUY a real live CD.

Remember – every dime we make from anything – shows, merch – it all goes to the next project.  Nothing goes in our pockets.  We are a non-profit band.  (what band isn’t?)  If you have any brilliant ideas on how we can generate the cash – we’d sure love to hear them.
