And speaking of drums, my 8 year old daughter Malena has been asking about a drum set.\u00a0 I used to play drums kind of seriously (I had a set at least) long ago – and I feel like she might be giving me an excuse to get back into it a little.\u00a0 The problem is that the drums I would want to get are hard to find.\u00a0 I want like a Rogers, or Fibes, or Leedy or an old Ludwig kit.\u00a0 I want a black beauty snare.\u00a0 I saw a vintage black beauty for $3500 on ebay.\u00a0 Good lord.\u00a0 It’s either that – or I want an eKit.\u00a0 Totally not as cool – but way more practical for the noise considerations.\u00a0 Especially taking into account an 8 year old may be playing them too.\u00a0 Plus – an ekit into pro tools and BFD drums – which is what I use on the demos – and I could pick any of the above kits from my computer.\u00a0 Again – nowhere near as cool – but – for what I’d be using them for (demos) – it would be kind of the thing.\u00a0 But – these kits are super-freaking-expensive too.\u00a0 Putting it off.\u00a0 But obsessively adding items to my ebay watch list.\u00a0 This is the same phenomenon that happened before I got the Dark Fire.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
