How the Hell to Raise Funds? Part Three - Falling Apart

Jesus. Angie just emailed that Aug/Sept won’t work for her, that she’s too busy. So, I have no idea what we’ll do now. God damnit. That is truly a bummer. I’d really gotten used to the idea of these shows, and I just don’t think they’ll work without Angie pushing them.
email from ang to tony & heidi telling them that angie is out:
jeez... perhaps zues is trying to tell us something? zues is such a dick.
tony’s reply
What the crap?!
Well...what are going to do?
I say let's forge ahead. This way, we could release the CD by October. It's fate testing us.
By Zeus's dick, we must sally forth!
Hmmm, maybe tony’s right. And I haven’t heard sally forth used in... well, ever I think. Probably a good reason for that. Perhaps the record should now be called ‘Sally Forth’. If there is a record. God damnit.
email from Heidi to Tony & Ang
We'll get it worked out. This is going to happen one way or the other.
On to creative. My first impressions on new stuff (having just gotten the CD last Friday)...
LOVE Euphoric (and I mean LOVE) - I want to play keyboards on that one but I have none - not even a piano (but its in the works) - Ang do you have a Roland or a plan for this or something?
Generally - new stuff sounds very different from old stuff, which I like, but alot of it seems kind of slow.
Also, from 1st listen Least I'm Feeling and Perfect Thing stick out as good ones.
I'm not ready to cut any yet, I'll keep listening...
email from Ang to Heidi
i have a super nice yamaha stage piano that sounds amazing (it's what's used on 'bus went by' - so we'll use that. and yeah- euphoric is actually why i asked you if you played. so that will be cool.
email from Heidi to Ang
I'm psyched about playing piano. I'd also like to try some weird stuff on this cello of mine - any suggestions? It is not MIDI - would be just like any other electric instrument w/a preamp. Pedals? Only amplifier I have access to is the one in Tony's practice space (Fender? Peavy?).
email from Ang to Heidi
yeah, i mean- if you want to spend some cash- totally shop for an amp and try out some pedals. probably a keyboard amp would be best suited for that cello. probably unnecessary for the amount of gigs we'll do-but maybe you'd use it for other stuff. but it would just help you on stage cause you could direct it right at your head and you could control the tone more- and the sound dude could just mic the amp instead of running you direct. i thought it sounded pretty damn good direct though- it's just if you want more control.
and pedals- there are just a billion of them- only thing to do would be go to a shop with the cello and have them set you some up and see what was cool. delay, flange, chorus all might sound nifty. and another great one would be a distortion pedal. i was just listening to Hands Off, and it would be awesome to give that opening riff to the cello with distortion. could be kinda sick.
email from Heidi to Ang
I like kinda sick -- I'll try to set aside some time to go to a music store soon.
I’m psyched to have this stage piano. I’ve always played keys, but I think I’ve only performed live on them twice in my life. It’ll be cool having a little piano on stage, and I like the idea of switching up instruments a little. I’m hoping to get a turn on the cello at some point on stage. That’ll drive ‘em out for sure.
